Basic Tools for Jewelry and Metalsmithing

Students often ask for a list of basic tools, here it is. With access to a torch, and a flex shaft, and these very basic hand tools, you can execute 90% of the techniques we use to make jewelry. Acquire them as you can, buy the best quality you can afford.

Tools provided in the studio include: torches and pickle; hammers, things to hammer on; polishing machine, buffs and compounds; cleaning supplies and materials; flex shaft and drill press, sanding machine, rolling mill, bench shear.
