The silver element at the top of the earring looks like a chess pawn, hence the name. I have one other pair made using smoky quartz in place of the blue chalcedony.
I love this long, smooth briolette gem cut. I don’t find them very often, that’s why there are only two pairs of Pawn Earring available.
